Some people may find cannot start this game because similar problems like :

How to fix Dear Esther 2012 Remake to able launching the game :
Dear Esther ERROR Fix [Follow this steps]
1. Open X:\YourGameFolder\DearEsther\cfg ► video.txt
Then you'll find this :
"setting.defaultres" "1360"
"setting.defaultresheight" "768"
* RED: Change to your monitor resolution! Mine is 1360 x 768.
2. Open you VGA property, usually Right Click at the desktop and choose yours.
Mine like this [AMD VISION Engine Control Center] :
3. Then after it opened, you'll need to change the setting, usually in "Properties (VGA Display)"
Then, uncheck "Use Extended Display or driver default" ... and then Apply.

* This is for AMD Radeon Menu, maybe NVidia or Intel have a different layout.
4. If your desktop resolutions changed to low quality, then just leave it.
5. Now you start your game 'dearesther.exe' again. Now you change the resolutions in-game > Options, Video. If the default is 848 x 480, change it to your own resolutions. If you cannot change to your own resolutions, you must change it first to 1024x768, and then restart the game once again. Now you can change it to widescreen or your own resolution.
6. After it succesful, you can exit the game and go back to "Properties (VGA Display)" and check "Use Extended Display or driver default".
7. You just need doing this once. No need to repeats after you succeed playing the game in your own resolution.
I cannot find how to change the resolutions from .cfg file, that's why this the only way I can change the resolution. Please note that I'm not understand with hex or something, maybe the others can make it simple.Supported Resolutions
